I wouldn't use 'em if they were given to me...
A few extra feet per second isn't going to KO the bad guy any faster than 'regular' wimpy W-W, R-P, Speer or Federal ammo. The extra recoil and blast just ain't worth it to me.
If i'm going to shoot Speer Gold Dot bullets, i'm going to use agency-proven Speer/ATK/CCI ammunition.
Can ü guys tell me about any agencies currently using DT ammo?
so you prefer mass quantity manufactored ammo over small batch, hands on made ammo? and they do use GoldDot bullets in them.
i will agree i can shoot about any ammo out of my G20c 10mm and it will down anything im engaging.thats the design of the cartridge tho.
but the great thing about 10mm is it can be loaded so many ways its almost overwhelming at times.and the differances can be large when comparing certain loads.
one load can be as weak as a tame .40s+w or have it hopped up to full 10mm specs.and ill be honest it makes not one differance in recoil in my gun, that nose stays buried down no matter what im shooting.but i can tell in the web of my hand how hot it was loaded.
i have several box's of ammo for my gun including hydroshocks, but both clips have DT 180gr GD @ 1300fps / 676ft/lbs loaded in them.
my point is that in a 10mm it does make a big differance. and DT started as a 10mm ammo maker but just branched out to other calibers iirc.
nitetrane98-That is something that I love about the DT ammo too. It doesn't seem to be "flippy". Straight back into your hand and you feel it all the way down your arm. Solid feeling. Nice. Kind of like hitting a baseball or golfball on the sweet spot. Again, only 10mm, YMMV.
ive shot quite a few guns in my time and ive never shot anything like the G20c recoil wise.i cant say i cant see much differance with DT over any other ammo "flip" wise, the gun just stays nose down.its the force i can feel in my hand and arm is the DT differance i can feel.
its the first compensated gun ive ever shot also.
