Don't fly your flag out front!

The common council in one of Milwaukee's suburbs took action a few years ago against a car dealer who they thought had "too many" American flags flying on his lot. What constitutes "too many?"

There's also a guy here who's being harassed by his neighbors because the noise of his flag flapping keeps the neighbors awake at night.

Gimme a break.

I guess it's true that he agreed to this rule when he bought the house, but what kind of person/company would put that into a covenant to begin with? That's just disgusting. Do we al read every line in the covenant when we buy a place? Who would even expect such a thing?
Does anyone have an address for the company? Maybe we should all write to them and tell them that will never consider buying a house from their company.
Putting it on the side of the house or the back of the house is the same as telling them to hide it. It's not beautiful enough to be seen on our streets.

If they let him fly "Ole Glory" they HAVE to let the native Cuban's, Columbians, Germans, Poles, (place ethnic group here) fly their flags. I witnessed this first hand when I lived in FL (the land of covenants). At least he can fly it on the side of his house, most subdivision ban all flags.
I know you're all saying, "this is America we should be able to fly our National Flag any time anywhere". But this is also America, "land of the offended" and the foreign nationals who share our country but not our love of it (no flames here please I don't mean all foreign born) are offended if we fly OUR flag and they can't theirs. Liberal Courts, ya know..........

When I moved to Richmond, VA I found most subdivisions had restrictive covenants, so I chose to move to the country. Here we have a neighborhood association of two people and I am the president. My wife is the member. Oh yeah I forgot to tell ya, I only vote in case of ties.
 
You have to understand Cary, better known as the Central Area for Relocated Yankees. They even have rules on how and when to water your lawn, since they cannot seem to stop the building in the city. It is so picture perfect it makes me yak. On the other hand, my lovely city had a fit when the Bob Evans in town flew an extra large American flag...a nuisance, our city council at work. The same folks who had a fit over a plastic cow that has been atop a store for longer then they had been elected. With problems that occur and such, the analogy of Nero comes to mind...
 
If I were him, I would get a Nazi flag and mount it on the right side of the house, a Russian hammer and sickle flag and mount it on the left side of the house, and leave the United States flag out front. Then I would ask them if the one out front was okay or should I comply strictly with the covenants and leave the two on the sides of the house right where they are.

First I dont care how many people I offend with this post, I am excercising my free speech right.

America was founded on freedoms, we are a COUNTRY no matter what the liber-crats and the UN think of the United States of America, we are a country.

The foreign nationals in this country have more rights living as a foreigner in this land than they do in their own home countries. Yet, we Americans if we lived in their country would have little, hell no, would have NO rights to anything. We would be less than welcomed, and treated worse than humanly imaginable.

But in this country, we have to bow down to them, make them feel welcome, at home, and please lets not offend them.

This is AMERICA, we have a flag, we have a Constitution, a Government (that is for another post) and we have natural born citizens.

If flying our flag makes the foreigners, the UN and who ever the hell else mad or offended, the get the BLEEP out and go back home.

If flying OLD GLORY is such an eye sore to Americans, then I am afraid, this country has little time left.

We have made concessions so the foreign fanatics can come to this country and terrorize our neighborhoods, schools and governments and we stand by and say, in the name of FREEDOM we must allow these people to come here and defile our soil, our flag and our people.

This is the only country in the world, were a hated enemy is allowed to INVADE the borders with the blessings of immigration laws. And then once here they have the ability under our constition, to destroy it.

Yes, this is a free country and people are free to fly any flag they want. But, if they find the US so wonderful as to want to live here, why would they even wany to fly another country's flag?
If we were to have read this thread a few decades ago, we would have thought it was someone's wild imagination.
Unfortunately, it's not and it makes me very sad... :( :( :( :(

When will Amercians, start standing up to be Americans.

No we dont have to love, tolerate or even like every person simply because they are a human being.

America is it's own country. Melting pot, my tired old b__tt. We were a melting pot back when America was strong, when the imigrants took pride in making it to America. When they wanted most of all to be Americans. That was the melting pot. We were all MELTED into AMERICANS.

Today, there is no melting pot, the new breed of immigrants no more want to be American, than they want to be Canadians. They want to be here to rape this country. Earn a better living here, than in their own country. They want the American hand outs and wel-fare. They speak bad about Americans and the United States of America and then hide behind our own Constitution when they say they have freedom of speech.

I have met several foreign students through out my long college years. And most of them if not all, were levis, pollo, guess, nike, converse, and drive firebirds, cameros, mustangs, corvettes. They sit and bad mouth America and say how wonderful their country is compared to here. How us Americans are so uncivilized, uncouth, and unkept. They scream and protest Amercia.

Well only in America, could a foreign National protest the government of the soil they are raping.

Only in America, could the enemy be welcome with open arms, coddled and given every freedom and luxury imaginable and then when they destroy our country, it is in the name of free speech, liberty and rights that they are allowed to do this.

No other country on each would allow such autrocities. DONT TALK TO ME ABOUT WE ARE ABOVE THAT BECAUSE WE ARE AMERICANS AND WE HAVE FREEDOMS THAT OTHER COUNTRIES DO NOT ENJOY.

I say to hell with that, take pride at being Americans. Tell the foreigners to ship-up or ship-out. Dont give me this crap about we are the foreigners in this land. To all my native american freinds. You lost the war and your land. Live with and move on. We are Americans. Not native americans. african americans, cuban americans. mexican americans, japanese americans.

DEAR LORD IN HEAVEN. WE ARE AMERICANS PEOPLE GET THE PICTURE. IF YOU CANT TAKE PRIDE IN AMERICA FOR BEING AN AMERICAN YOU DONT DESERVE HER.

Good job Judge, you managed to offend me. Considering the fact my family and I are immigrants to this country. Considering the fact I was a US Army Ranger. Considering the fact that I am a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Considering the fact I am a US citizen. Considering the fact that I worked my way through college and now pay in the highest tax bracket. Yet that will never be enough for many of you. I will always remain an immigrant. Geezus, I came to this board to share and gain information about firearms and maintaining our RKBA, not read this sh!t.

I don't think the Judge - and I'm damned sure about me - had people like you in mind when he (we) wrote. You've made the successful effort to become an American - an American who has contributed far more than many native-born Ugly Americans. Give the victimization thing a rest, and recognize when, and if, the shoe fits. Thank you for your service in OUR Army.

If he wants to target immigrants, then do so elsewhere. This is public forum that has over 6000 members and who knows how many visitors. Broad commments like him can be misconstrued and frowned upon by immigrants and US citizens alike. How is that reflected upon gun owners? The First Amendment only goes so far...

I sent Judge an email to discuss this issue privately. As far as I'm concerned, this issue is dead now. If you want to throw in the last "word" so be it. It's dead for me.
