Does Walther always delay new gun releases like this?

I would not put my life on the line with a dot zero release.

I have been on the streets for a long, long time, been carrying for just as long, and I can assure you that even the most long-in-the-tooth models can fail, the ammo can fail, and most of the time the magazines can fail and can come from different sources during the life time of that long-in-the-tooth model, hence invalidating the long in the tooth reliability reputation.

Most importantly the shooter most of time cancels the function of the gun by any means possible that can happen in the hands of humans.

Don't sweat the new model, you have plenty to be concerned about with whatever you now carry!!!:D

If you want a CCW Walther.... the PPS is the golden ticket. Generally the only gripe people have with it generally was the mag release being the euro style on the trigger guard.

Me personally, I prefer a mag release there. Can't bump it like you can a thumb release, and I am quicker with it being there and using my trigger finger, however my first handgun was a HK USP so I am well practiced. I def. regret selling my PPS, I will probably pick another one up someday.

Umarex is fine for .22lr toys... I owned a Walther p22 and one of the HK MP5's before. For .22 plinkers both mine were AWESOME... but they are not defensive firearms.

Agreed.

I'm not seeing anything the CCP can do that the PPS can't already do much better, and it's not hindered by the CCP's manual safety, inferior mag release, or Umarex construction.
