so a lot of you know me from the Semi vs pump threads. I actually have a remington 870 express from 12 years ago. so i got 4 12 ga snap caps. the a-zoom kinda that are metal, not plastic. so im trying to cycle the gun as fast as possible too see how many rounds i can get off. now i dont know if its the gun, or the snap caps, but
1. i dry fire the gun, and lock it forward.
2. i load 4 snap caps underneath
3. i dry fire it, and then rack the slide
4. at this point, 2 shells enter the chamber, and the one thats closest to the mag, the one that shouldnt be in the chamber, presses up against the one that is in the chamber, and locks the gun up.
at this point, i have to get a screw driver or some thin strong implement, and push the round that isnt supposed to be in the chamber back into the mag until it clicks into place, and then i can complete chambering the round into the gun.
this only happenes to my pump. using the same snap caps, this does not happen in my benelli when i manually cycle all the rounds in the mag
is it the snap cap, or the guns internals? despite being 12 years old, its only been fired less than 200 times.
