Does Hillary Have a Shot in '08?

I think this whole idea is about 2 years premature.......... A lot of water to go under the bridges in the next few years before I would call Mrs. Clinton a winner. Just seems way to early to do much but guess on the next big election? ;)

If it should go that way I would hope that the next few years are good years for Condi Rice. She seems to me like a good run against the Clinton Family Plan.... I mean Mrs. Clinton...

Time shall tell......

She'd have a tough row to hoe

and she's the hoe to do it...

(Stolen from another thread somewhere)

Yeah, I smiled at seeing "Hillary" and "shot" in the same sentence, too, until I read it more carefully.

The way many of us NYers (Upstate, not the 51st state called NYC), she'll be lucky if she isn't shot before then.

from what ive read, shes going to using cracking down on illegal immigration as her campaign platform, if she does, i think she has a good shot at atleast getting the nomination.

Sure she can win - elections these days aren't about voters, they're about control of the media, targeted blackmail, and control of who counts the votes. Republicans and Democrats cooperate quite a bit - George Bush threw one election to Bill and Bob Dole threw another - who's to say that couldn't happen again?

Actually, Hillary Clinton has a very good chance of running. She will, more so than Kerry, simply make it an absolute certainty that her "opponent" will get every "conservative vote" in the country.

Then everyone can use the "... Well, would you have rather have had Hillary in the WH instead??!" stock reply and diversion when the "opponent" proves - as predicted right now - to be just another fake fronted by the so-called "republican party". Arnold perhaps?

So you have four years to watch but the same show all over again. In slow motion. ;)

"Firt Gentleman" would be pushing the term in many ways :D . I for one would love to see Condoleeza Rice run. I would vote for her in a heartbeat. A staunch firearm supporter, intelligent, and has always won me over with her points of view.

Besides, that would be an exquisite candidate for the GOP for two reasons:

1. She could get more of the black vote away from Democrats
2. She would definitely get more of the women vote away from Democrats.

It seems that elections tend to like new blood. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Hillary doesn't run at all or if she gets beat out by someone else in the Democratic primaries.

Honestly I'm more concerned about who the Republicans are going to dig up.

Another possibility is that Hill n' Bill will get some high U.N. postings, and the oligarchs wearing the "democrat party" suits will front someone stunningly well presented, articulate and appealing - and faaaaaaaaar "left". Someone probably relatively (to most people) unknown. This again would have the "conservatives" falling over themselves to endorse anyone "opposing" wearing a "republican" suit; who could then carry on where Comrade Bush left off.

She may have a chance is she is able to continue to pretend to be a moderate liberal. So basicly, no.
Actually, she's been doing a pretty darn good job of that. She's worked quite a bit with Republican's in the Albany state house and in the Senate. She's backed off of her support for Palestinians. She's gotten high marks from Republican's on Capital Hill.

I believe she is going to run in '08 and has a darn good chance of winning.

No, of course I don't trust her as far as I can throw her. But don't make the mistake of underestimating her.

Damn I hope not! Clinton was ok, did a lot of good things for the economy, but he did push our country into the dark ages of bad gun law. I hate to see what his wife has in store for us. Nothing against women's abilities or anything, but "cringe," I bet the damn Million Mom March has an implanted communication line into her ear. Sheesh, buy your stuff now, because who knows what is coming after she gets elected. I hope to god that she isn't the first woman elected president (not because she's a woman, but because.....well, you know). Also, to bring up a note posted by a previous poster, Arnold needs to go with his true calling, the Democrat party. He shouldn't even be allowed to run for the Presidency (currently not allowed under US law). Anyone seen what he did to Kommifornia? Imagine the whole US in that whole debacle. Crime would skyrocket, and everyone would be wearing USA uniforms, driving the same cars, living in the same homes, having 2.5 kids, and living the Arnold dream. I'm sorry, I like my freedoms too much. I don't really care that he did that to Kommifornia, because it is only one state, and people can move out, if they really can't stand it, but if he takes over the whole country, well, you can kinda see where that is going. Fienstein will also have a hayday with that whole picture. Sometimes I wonder what has happened to my wonderful country.
