Earls Repair Service of Mass. is reporting that they have their first shipment of new Walther P22's.

So has anyone got lucky yet.

If so let's see a range report asap.

Regards,

Earl's hasn't charged my card yet which is bad but good. I called them late this week (Thursday?) and they aren't in yet. Waiting impatiently....

I asked Earl's on Friday about them and they told me they are held up till the end of the month now. argh!!!

Just talked to Earl's and they got 50 in first part of September. Unfortunately I missed the cut so mine will be coming out of the second batch which should arrive shortly. First batch only had 1 mag and it didn't have the finger extender. He's hoping the second batch will come with two mags. They do have extra mags available now. Standard barrel should be available within a month. Just received my Sistema so I have something new to play with in the interim.

I just got back from Europe and...

..I'm still feeling a little "fuzzy". (110 knot headwind! REALLY long flight.) Please refresh my memory by posting a picture of this Walther P-22.

Thanks,
Kentucky Rifle

Please disregard the request to post a picture. I found one posted below. I do seem to remember another company that is making a similiar pistol...S&W maybe??? Anyone know what the difference is?

Before the sale to Saf-T-Hammer, *&* was importing Walthers, but I'm not sure if they have maintained their agreement.

All their .22LR pistols are more expensive than the new Walther P22, and to my knowledge, they aren't doing their own version of the P22 the way they did the P99.

Sorry guys (I told you I was "jet-lagged")

I just had my model numbers mixed up. I did go to the Walther site to see the pistol and it sure does look great! The price being so low was a shock. I may have to add one of these also.

Thanks for being patient with this old man. (I swear my beard seems more gray!)

It's been a month

I'm ready to hear how that sweet lookin 22 shoots. What's the big deal? Has walther or anyone else said anything about the accuracy etc.? Guess i'll have to run more 9mm through my p99 while I wait.

month.... dang... they were "supposed" to ship in MAY!

I didn't really expect them to.... but I NEVER figured we'd be waiting THIS long....

Real world retail should be around $179.00 for the regular model and about $100 more for the first edition target model. Those are the rough estimate prices that were tossed around by my FFL last spring.

Earl's has the target version for $279 and the standard for $229 (which hasn't been approved yet). I'm on the list for the target and should get it this week with any luck.
