Does anyone else use air when cleaning their pistols?

In between cleaning my pistols when I get back from the range I blow a little of the gunk out then add a drop or 2 to the areas that need it. When it's time to clean my pistols they are not as bad and easier to clean.

canned air? Jeez, I may as well pay somebody to clean them at that point! Where can you find a guy to clean your pistols for about 3 or 4 bucks

Use canned air all the time to get rid of excess cleaning solvent and blow out any loose gun powder residue. I am ensured of getting clean lubricant on a clean gun. Been doing this since I first found canned air by the case at Costco.

lol, it's always so great when you aren't spending your own money, isnt it?

That a great price! So I'm sure you won't mind buying me a case then. PM me for my address, and thanks!

No thank you Do you stand on the street corner and beg for money from other working ppl too:confused: Just asking:)

I carry a Ruger LCP in an ankle holster. I was astonished at how much dust and grit it picks up... and that's even during non-lawnmower months.

After a few experiments, I went to a touch of graphite here and there, and just blow it out with shop air every now and then.

So far corrosion hasn't been an issue even though the metal parts aren't stainless. Given the amount of sweat when working outdoors, I expected that to be a problem.
