Do your handguns group some types of ammo better than others?

Ya I came around the corner awhile back and over heard them talking about Hydra-Shocks, one of them said it would throw up if it ever had to eat another FMJ, never realized guns were so sensitive to what we feed them.

With the exception of some high-end manufacturers or those making guns specifically for certain loadings, most makers regulate their sights using "standard" factory ammo.

.38 Special = 158gr bullet, not +P velocity
.357 Mags = 158gr bullet at about 1240 fps
.40 S&W = <not sure> probably 180gr at 1015 fps
.41 Magnum = 210gr at 1300 fps
.44 Special = 240gr at 755 fps
.44 Magnum = 240gr at 1180 fps
.45 ACP = 230gr at 835fps

If you have adjustable sights you can tweak the sights to fit the POI of your favorite load. Fixed sight guns may allow you to drift the rear sight for windage adjustments.
