Do you own one of these S&W's?

David1958 & Seb5,

It seems that the people who own a 696 are as loyal as are fans of the .41 Mag S&W's! Maybe we should lobby S&W to make some more of these! Hmmmm... How about asking S&W to produce a "691" - same gun with fixed sights? I doubt they'd make a 591 (blued fixed sight version) but I can dream!

Jungle Work,
Thanks for the info about the Speer 210gr Gold Dots. Hard to find here in "Kommiefornia" (or is that "Mommyfornia"?) but I'll keep looking. The old Remington 210 LSWC "police" load was pretty accurate although barrel leading could be a chore when cleaning.

I used to carry my Model 58 in a Safariland "Border Patrol" type holster and the few times it had to come out of the holster the gaping hole in the end said more to miscreants than I could. Carried two speed loaders, 1 with more 210gr LSWC and one with the 210gr JSPs. In winter my jacket had an MTM "Caseguard 18" with 18 rounds of Speer 210gr JHPs at 1200fps in case I needed to stop armored vehicles! :D

For .38 caliber, I've always liked the LAPD round - 146gr JSWC-HP running at about 955 fps from a 4" barrel. If the HP doesn't expand the SWC profile will certainly work.

Model 631-.32 H&R Magnum

Howdy:
Here is a real tough one to find... The 631 in .32 H&R Magnum. 2 Year life span and less than 500 in 4" combat model.. Regards, Hammer It..

Hello Blue Heeler:
I found the 4" combat from the High Road forum. I ran a want add for a .32 H&R magnum revolver and was willing to swap another S&W revolver I had for one. I found the 2" snubby on the same forum about two month's later and swapped a lightweight scandium titanium revolver in .32 Magnum for it. Regards, Hammer It.
