Do you own a gun lock or a gun safe?

Have a safe. Might still have some locks, most new guns I've bought come with one. Course they're still in the plastic if I didn't throw them all out when we moved...

I had the same concerns as others about having a safe (mine in a 2nd floor apartment). I ended up getting a Frontier under-bed safe. Granted, the electronic part doesn't work anymore, but I use the key for all my uses. I store 8-10 handguns in there, and if I go out of town, I often pull the bolt from my Savage Mk II and the barrel from my shotgun and put them in as well. I bought mine from a local store, and can't complain too much, especially since it's wide base makes it easier on unsure floors.

Two safes, no idea how many locks (most new guns tend to come with one, I've never used any of them).

A safe is a better idea than a lock- while a lock can prevent unauthorized use it won't prevent theft. A safe isn't foolproof either, but it can at least add a significant barrier to theft.

My safe is big enough for a grown man to walk into, providing all the shelves were removed. The top three shelves are reserved for my handguns and those shelves are equipped two custom made, double tier gun racks. The bottom two shelves are reserved for important papers and other valuables. Even have room for my M-4 and shotgun.

I outgrew my original safe after about 6 guns.

Gun locks: got a box of them that I never use.

Large, heavy, expensive fire resistant safe currently storing about 40 firearms. It cannot be removed from my home without some specialized heavy equipment. Breaking into the safe would require efforts which would attract attention. Not perfect but it provides a lot of comfort about my firearms.

I use a pretty hefty safe. It is a Liberty "Fatboy" that I was able to purchase for a really good price. High quality and made in the USA!

I own many gun locks... I use them for all sorts of things... Just not locking the guns...:o

My guns are kept in a lockable location in my home but not a safe or locker...

I have a box of gun locks. I put one on a gun once but then couldn't find the key when I wanted to take it off the gun. Could you imagine what would happen if you had a gun lock on a gun and a bad guy came in your house?

Gun locks are pretty handy for gates, sheds, bicycles, etc. The only gun lock I have that isn't useful at all is one that is designed to fit exactly into the trigger guard of a specific gun. I can't lock a box or shed with it.

I'd like to build a vault into my next house but I may be too old for a next house.

Safe.

Took three men to bring it into my house, two more to bolt it to the floor.

As long as I remember to close it, the guns ain't going anywhere.

yep, have a gun safe and a gun lock. I use the gun lock on my Browning A-Bolt but I don't have anything for my Winchester 9422. both are securely locked in the safe

Five safes . . .

I have five safes. One for pistols, one for long guns, one for ammo. These are the less expensive "stack on" variety. Plus I have a handgun safe in master bedroom of each of our homes. The only loaded guns are in the hand gun safes and only when we are in residence at that home. All else are unloaded and have a trigger lock or cable lock on them.
Live well, be safe.
