Do you own a gun lock or a gun safe?

3 gun safes and probably 50 gunlocks. Here in Kalifornistan we cannot buy a gun without buying a gun lock for it. For Rifles, we must sign a gun safe statement before leaving the gun store. (after a 10 day wait). Either handgun or rifles must have a lock at time of purchase or transfer. State law.

A gun safe is something all Gun Owners and Hobbyists should have.!

Get a larger safe than you think you need, because at time goes by the gun collection will grow. :D

I own one gun safe, a mini-vault, a gun lock I actually purchased and several gun locks that came with guns I purchased.

Of those, I only use my Gun Safe.

I have a 42 gun safe, a micro vault, and then probably 30 gun locks because every gun bought comes with one. I rarely use them (the gun locks) for their intended purpose, however.

I have one 'strong closet' I built for all my guns, and a few locks that I never use that came with guns. It's pretty full now and the interior needs to be modified to hold them all somewhat orderly.

A few gun safes. Lots of locks that come with guns all thrown together in a box and I don't use them. I've given some away to people that needed a lock and repurposed some.

All of my guns are in safes unless with me hunting or target shooting.

Must have a Safe by law here in Sweden. wouldn't want to have them just in the closet either. always carry the key with me, spare key is in my pops safe.

funny thing is that the laws are pretty recent, it used to be just that you had to lock them up in a sort of stand. and the new laws hasn't changed anything really. 99,9% of gun crimes are done by illlegal smuggled guns anyway. the few gun thefts that happen happen at the range or forced entry and the owners are forced to open the safes

the locks that came with my american made rifles I own I use at the gym and to lock up my dirtbike if I leave it outside:)

If I hadn't seen the gun locks being used at gun shows, I wouldn't even know how they worked. There are a lot of them around here though.

We can't have a safe, it would go right through the floor (weak floor, not too many guns)
Anything not "on duty" is kept unloaded in either a lock metel gun cabinet or locked large footlockers.

I would really like a safe, though.

I have a safe.

I get little cable locks with most guns I buy they usually go in the trash where they belong. I would not use them to secure more then dirty laundry. You can cut them with most decent hand held cutters and you can pick them in about 3sec with a small piece of metal.

I have a few gunlocks, brand new still in the plastic they came in.

When I'm not home they are all in the safe.
When I am home, 1 is not locked up

I have a Sturdy Safe (about 1000 lbs, 7 and 8 gauge steel), as well as a couple small, locking pistol cases for travel, and a handgun vault in my truck.

I gave my old Sentry Safe to a friend.

I don't believe in requiring safes, but I do believe in using safes or locking cases for those guns that are not on my person.
