mine is the cheapest gun i have, i haven't shot it in years, it was passed to me by my grandfather ,an old H&R 32 S&WL revolver.

I have two (ok, so it's three) that are unfired...and all three have a face that only a mother could love.:D Leaving these unfired is easier for me because I have similar DW's that do get regular workouts.

The first (Ed & Fred) is a pair of 2-digit sequential numbered Dan Wessons from 1970...

These two are some of the first of what were later known as the "Pistol Pac" sets that became much more popular in later years.
This one's Ed.;) LOL!

The other is a relatively rare early DW...a fixed barrel model D11 .38 Spl., also unfired.

Sometimes I do get the itch to just go out & pull the trigger on these...ya know, make them do what they were born to do & send some rounds down the pipe after 40 years! But nah. I have many others & they get regular exercise!!

I have a 1922 Colt 1873 Army in .45 LC that belonged to my grandfather when he was in law enforcement. It is about 75%. As far as I know it has not been shot since he died in 1949. It will not be shot while I have it. Not that it can't be, I just don't have any desire.

Other than that, I don't have anything that doesn't get used on a regular basis even though most of my rifles are high end.

While I agree with the "tool and should be used" mindset, I do have a special gun that will never be sold and rarely shot - an heirloom Colt 25acp with the box. But besides that, I take good care of my guns, but what is a few scratches and worn bluing.

Let’s just say that I have more safes than I do safe queens.
I have one safe queen, a German built 32 Browning auto with holster taken off of a dead German officer near Dachau by my father who is no longer with us.
Thanks Dad!

Have 3 safes, 3 actual safe queens. Colt GCNM, Colt CCO & actually a stainless/camo 10/22. :D:):D. The 10/22 was purchased for me buy the kids 12 years ago.

Guess I misunderstood the term safe queen ... I have a number of handguns which serve no other function than being fun to haul to the range ... I consider them safe queens; I shoot them, but just for fun. The three or four guns that serve home SD and carry chores only live in the safe when we're traveling ... otherwise, they're on my hip or quickly accessible around the house ...

All of my guns exist for fun purposes.

One of my guns also has a defensive role..

I would not own a gun that was not fun to shoot..

There is no such thing as a "Safe Queen" in my (admittedly small) collection.

I spend more time cleaning my desert eagle .44 than I do my sig 9mm.. but it gets to go to the range as often as anything else. I try to keep it looking brand new because it was at the top of my want list for a good 8 years before I finally got it.

It makes me smile to open its case and see it gleaming like it did when it was new.

Only gun I own that has never been and will never be fired is a Colt Frontier Scout .22lr Maine Sesquicentennial that was issued in 1970. I searched for one for years but the only ones I found were too rich for my gun budget. Posted the inquiry on the net and a couple of years ago got a response. EIGHT years after I had posted. The guy lived about 15 minutes from me! It had been his dad's and he'd inherited it. He didn't care about it so we worked out a deal. It's in the wooden presentation box, has the cardboard shipping sleeve and he said his dad never even put a cartridge in the cylinder. And finally, it has the golden lobster which was part of the original commemorative issue and most of which have been lost over the years.

I've got two. One is a 1983 model 66-1 smith Virginia State Police commemorative. I know commemoratives aren't worth anything I just can't bring myself to shoot a gun that hasn't seen a bullet in the 27 years since it left the factory. If it hadn't have been my grandfather's I wouldn't even have it.

The other is a NIB model 9410 winchester I bought back when winchester was closing the factory a few years ago. My plan is to flip it one day.

Have shooters and unfired safe queens. Will be selling the safe queens and only keeping a couple of working guns.

If I had some beautiful safe queens, I would be so tempted to shoot them that I would force myself to sell them immediately, lest I shoot them and diminish their value.

I like guns, but all of mine are shooters. My motto about possessions is "use 'em up."

I rarely take interest in guns I would not shoot. Notwithstanding, my mom inherited a Colt Huntsman in .22LR that we keep in the safe. She missed shooting her Colt for a while until a Browning Buckmark came her way. I'd say she's coping quite well.

If I got one of the Beretta M9 Marine Corps limited editions I might never shoot it, being a Corps buff. Pretty much universally, though, I shoot all guns. Including my late grandfathers Colt Officer's Match...sweet shooter.
