If you have a edc bag ? I am asking not a bugout bag but a throw in your car every day .What's in it ?
SPARE MEDS . SMALL FIRST AID KIT.
MULTY TOOL.
KNIFE .
AMMO .
FLASHLIGHT .
CELPHONE & CHARGER .

I don't have a bag, but I got a free Craftsman bucket from Sears a while back when I bought Pops a new push mower that rides in the back seat of my truck. (the bucket, not the pushmowr)

It contains:

Gloves, signal flairs, bright yellow rain jacket, several shop rags, Estwing hatchet, couple of chem-lights, two pairs of safety glasses, and a small aircompressor that can run off the cigarette lighter.

Also, stashed in the truck under the seats and such are a prtty big tool kit, crowbar, axe, first aid kit, Mag-Lite, spare magazine, tow straps, chains, tie down straps, lug wrench, and fire extinguisher.

I carry a Swiss Army Knife in my pocket, but generally there is a Leatherman floating around in the truck somewhere too.

And all of that stuff stays in the truck when not in use.

Yes, it includes the items you mentioned plus a few more.

Notebook
Pen case – pen, pencil, Sharpie
Disposable pocket size poncho
Paracord
Books, Magazine and/or Newspaper
Spare Magazine or Speedloader for firearm

I carry a soft briefcase from guntotenmamas.com,,,

I carry a soft briefcase from guntotenmamas.com.

In it is my CZ-75B and a spare magazine,,,
A few personal items like aspirin, spare glasses, and such stuff,,,
I also carry a few food items like energy bars and one small bottle of water.

I have one of those tiny first aid kits with band-aids and other such items,,,
Perhaps the most often used item is the needle and tweezers,,,
Splinters abound where I work.

We jokingly call the bag a "murse" or man purse,,,
And like a woman's purse it fills up with junk rather quickly.

But I find it very handy,,,
A holdover from my student days I guess,,,
For those 8 years I carried my life in a messenger bag.

Have always kept a small medic kit in the Jeep, containing typical first aid supplies plus burn dressings, cravats, medications, surgical glue, trauma dressing, hot & cold packs, shears, occlusive dressing, power bars, etc.
Also have a mechanics bag with various tools, jumper cables, high flow air compressor(battery mount), tow straps, tie downs, flares, tire repair, etc.
Folding shovel, tarp sided blanket, poncho, fire extinguisher, crank & chemical lights, etc.
Picked everything individually to form my own kits which allowed me to be as compact as possible without sacrificing necessary items. The only items noticeable are the small compressor bag (10x12x4)containing the tool roll and the typical Jeep roll bar mounted fire extinguisher. Everything else is tucked away and always on board if needed.

No bug-out-bag, but I almost always wear Carhartt carpenter jeans and keep a good leatherman in on leg pocket, always carry a good quality pocket knife. In my truck I keep 2 cased long guns under the back seat and plenty of ammo for both, plus 200-300 .40FMJ in the storage pockets behind the back seat.

So, for EDC, I have an old backpack that fits one cased 40cal pistol, 6-8 mags, and will fit my other holstered pistol when I do not carry it, plus 50-100 boxed rounds in addition to the full mags.

During the winter I usually keep a heavy coat, gloves, stocking cap in the truck and in the bed, a tool box with 4- 2"x20' 10,000lb ratchet straps, bungee straps, and a couple of smaller ratchet straps. There is a small first aid kit under one front seat.

I have pretty much kept my emergency gear and long guns in the truck for the last 11 years, pistols more recently.

Yea, you have the basics. I add a small shopping bag, wet ones, mirror, Carmex, toe nail clippers, eye glass cleaner, my CCW sometimes, spare mag, space pen, Japanese fan during summer(long story!), notepad, bleach wipes, PET bottle holder, sunglasses....basically a man purse!

I do have a edc bag with spare mags and ammo along with some other range items.

My other automobile items are separate. I usually have a multi tool, flashlight, jumper cables, road flares, cold weather stuff in the winter, some plastic sheeting, a black balaclava, latex gloves, lime and a shovel.

Yes, I carry a small maxpedition bag with many of the items already mentioned and more. Some if it is stuff i use frequently, and some is just in case items. It doesn't stay in my car. I have separate items that do stay in the car.

Sounds like most members live up north with the cold weather gear.
Living in fl.I also have a northern bag ready to go on a long road trip if necessary.

I have one of these great Saddleback Leather briefcases that I got off Ebay, I didn't spend $600 for it! I have it with me most of the time:

dstryr, dont your long guns get rusted in a closed case in your vehicle all the time with changing humidity levels inside your vehicle?

I just carry everything.

gun
knife
flashlight
ammo
wallet
hand cleaner
keys
pens
lighter in winter times
odd and ends.

I am not a woman so I don't want a purse. :p

I do have a bag which contains most of what you describe. It's an older version of this LL Bean bag: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/34014?feat=504167-GN3&page=sportsman-s-accessory-bag.

In it, among other things, are a bright 2AA LED flashlight, a Leatherman Juice S2 multitool, a 6-in-1 screwdriver, pens, a notepad, a small first aid kit, a small digital video camera.

I don't carry ammo in it since I take this to work with me every day and I'm never armed at work.

I don't know quite when the concept of a briefcase turned into an "EDC bag" but essentially I've always carried similar stuff with me. It just used to be in a hard-sided briefcase but now it's in a soft-sided nylon bag.

If you're interested in all the tools and gizmos that make up EDC, there's a great forum: www.edcforums.com, that has active discussion areas for everything you can think of that you might think about carrying.

No problems, I do shoot them once in a while so they get cleaned and oiled. The cases are soft with wool type linings which I think keeps the condensation off the guns until they warm up if they are cold from overnight.

My brothers and I will get together on the acreage where we grew up and shoot at unexpected/unplanned times, or once in a while I'll have a chance to shoot clays on short notice so I've just kept my equipment & supplies with me as opposed to in my home or garage.

I have two currently. A Summer Bag and a Winter Bag.

Arizona Fusilier,
What's in your EDC bag??? Mine is my old backpack, holds a cased FNP40, 8 full mags, a staple gun for targets, and usually a 100 extra rounds, and my holstered FNP40 if its not on me. My leatherman and Gerber folding knife are in my pockets...

I carry my BOB in my truck. Since SHTF can happen at any moment, and going home is not always an option.

I encourage everyone to do the same, if at all possible.
