Do you ever "make" someone carrying? Lets do an experiment.

My mother touched me once...once! Classic...

I find more often than not that folks carrying tend to act a certain way, more than actually printing/showing. By that I mean they "guard" garments when standing up, or maybe index with part of their arm to avoid personal contact in crowded areas. My personal give-away (at a much less overt level) is probably constantly scanning wherever or whenever. My mother in law calls it being on "high alert", I call it not being a sheep.

I spot a lot of people with many of the signs of a cc'er but I've never actually 100% spotted a weapon that was supposed to be concealed. What I mean is, the guy with the photo vest, black fanny pack, Glock hat and untucked shirt, the guy who keeps his strong side elbow close to his body, the guy who thinks he's sly about touching/adjusting his rig.....you know the signs. You just see these people and say " I know that guy is carrying". Other than that I never actually spot a pistol. Which is a good thing of course

""Some years ago, I had a WV state trooper tell me that it is common knowledge among the Law Enforcement community in WV that 7 out of 10 people driving down the average road in WV will have a gun in the car. Most of the time the LEO doesn't ask and doesn't search unless there is a reason during a traffic stop. "" quoted from above

That is great-that is the way it should be!!

I live in SF,CA so almost no one carries. The only person I have "made" was my Fire Sciences instructor who is an arson inspector for one of the suburbs. He noticed me noticing his bulge and either hid it better or stopped carrying after that.

"Printing" is really tough to read.

Take a class, it will open your eyes. Becides most newbies touch it all the time :) as if to make sure it is there or sumpting :)

In the stands at a good figure 8 race, a guy got up to get more beer could see his hog leg plain as day.

Was shopping at the local grocery an old gal was looking thru her purse took out a large revolver put it on the belt has food, found her purse paid put gun back in purse packed her grocerys up and left. Nobody said a word.

Lots of folks carry in this area, many easy to spot. Some not at all.

I have always been a people watcher. I love watching people on the street & out n about. It's very much like watching cartoons sometimes. I have seen a few gunbutts & holster bottoms. I have seen the subtle adjusting. I was on the bus once and a bottle of Hoppes #9 sat down in front of me.

I've been looking for guns ever since I started carrying in 84. I see the guys in the baggy pants & tight shirt and they don't fool me, I know they got the pocket pistols. Hands in the baggy pockets...
