ive even seen similar claims for the 9mm revolvers sold by taurus and charter. they end up having more barrel because of that same larger chamber.

your always going to end up in a rough ballistic window, despite what you hope for.

I always got higher velocity out of a 6" 45acp revolver than a 5" 1911 shooting my identical reloads.

I shoot a 4" 625 revolver as well as a Kimber 1911. The 1911 gets about 50fps more with my normal load. Results can vary this much one gun to the next. You will lose some because of the gap between the cyl. and bbl.

Haven't chronied these so can't comment. Some factory spec's are really accurate and others-not so much.
