Difference between Ruger Blackhawk and Super Blackhawk

Steel grip frame and ejector housing, New Blackhawk

Hello,

A New Blackhawk 45 cal I just purchased has a grip frame/trigger guard and ejector housing that sticks to a magnet. From this I infer that they are made of steel. I am sure that the magnet is not being attracted to underlying steel parts like the ejector rod/spring or hammer spring.

If that is the New .45 Flat Top, then yes...

Ejector rod housing and grip frame are steel...

Pretty sure, anyway...

Also pretty sure that the Flat Top can only handle tier two loads...
