Did Ruger miss an opportunity by over-pricing the SR22?

  • Yes. People are too smart to pay that much extra for a "tactical" stock

  • No, they know what they're doing. They'll sell like hotcakes.

All this is, is a Ruger 10/22in a Nordic Components kit and Rger used their own parts. You'll end up paying the same if you putany 10/22 in a Nordic kit and adding your own parts that aren't Ruger's (float tube, grip, sights, etc...)

Ironically, I put a Nordic together using used parts and have a better rifle than the factory Ruger SR22 I put together for cheaper. Lol.

Anyone who is interested should go that route. The SR22 has a barrel support that holds the barrel from suffering the "droop." So it's not really free-floated and the Ruger barrel is thin (it's not a typical "target" barrel).
I used a stainless .920 barrel and free-floated it with the adjustable receiver v-block and it shoots 0.5-1 MOA groups. Don't trust you'll get that from Ruger's factory setup.
