Design project for Dillon 650XL

Here is the bottom of the colator.

Now you can see the hose clamp which replaced that 3/4 inch aluminum collar.

Notice that the chute that the bullet fall into from the colator is movable. I wasn't certain about the placement of the chute and the design of the opening so I made a clamp arrangement which holds it in place but allows for it to be repositioned in case the bullets didn't drop right.

The colator itself is made from a piece of four in PVC pipe. The red parts are made from a 1/2 inch ABS plastic. I once was the training director for a construction company. The Transportation Superintendent had the idea to line the beds of all of our dump trucks with super slick ABS plastic so the material would slide out easier when the trucks were in dump mode. They had to cut the plastic to fit the beds. I took all of the pieces of plastic sheet that were left over.

Finally.....

Here is the whole thing.

Notice that in this photo I took the collar off the the bottom of the bullet feed tube.

Here is a photo of teh device with the bullet feed tube filled with bullets.

The feed tube holds about 25 to 30 bullets. It takes about 15 seconds to fill from the colator. I have colated about 500 bullets and never got one wrong.
