desert eagle 50ae

I'm in awe of how puny the 44 mag looks in comparison to the .50cal, there I just something deliciously excessive about it.

BTW, Am I the only one who has a thing for the Desert Eagle in .50 since seeing "Snatch"?
 
I haven't seen Snatch yet.

My step-brother turned me on to the Desert Eagle. He stopped over a few Christmases ago and the three of us (my father, my step-brother and myself) stood around a computer and looked up the Magnum Research website.

I grew up wanting the .44 Automag after seeing Sudden Impact. I was nine when I shot my father's .44 S&W Model 29. I remember thinking it was awesome it was to have the same power in a semi-auto.

I've been to a couple dozen gun shows in the past few years and I've seen three Automags, but you couldn't touch one for under $2500. So, I decided to spend about half that for my DE in .50 caliber. I've always loved big bore magnum caliber handguns since I shot that .44 when I was nine.
