DEMOCRATS VOW TO TAKE UP ARMS ! ! !

Ironbarr,

I agree with limiting foreign aid. What I would really like to see is these countries paying us back. Hopefully with interest. If I remember right, France is the only country to ever pay back a loan from us. We have plenty of people in our own country who could use some aid.

On the other hand, maybe this is the U.S. way of ensuring we have allies. Basically buying friends. We used to do this for countries leaning towards socialism, thus attempting to keep them on our side. It does'nt make a whole lot of sense today, as we have many socialistic programs and ideas in our own country today.

Maybe the UN dictates that a member country with wealth must share it. I'm not sure, but it seems to be UN methodology. I see Klinton just signed some kind of treaty basically giving up a lot of our soil to the UN collective. If I remember correctly, he also did it some time back with a few of our national parks like Yellowstone.

I think our future representative (s) will have a large uphill swim to restore our sovriegnity, pride and honor. That is of course, providing we have honorable representation to begin with. A handful is not enough.

Do Some of You Hope For Armed Conflict?

I get the impression that some of you yearn for armed conflict. I seriously doubt that this will happen in my lifetime. I seriously and earnestly hope that it does not. I cannot conceive of armed conflict arising from this election. The weapons of the left are ones of stealth, applied in the schoolroom and on the evening news. Be careful; make sure that you are guarding against the true threat. It will not come by arms, but by stealth. Don't guard the front door while the threat enters from the rear. Trust me, the left always enters from the rear. Take that however you wish.

My usual comment:

The RKBA supporters are so fearful that they can't make an argument that will convince people that we have talks of violence and other dribble.

If you can't convince people with logic, blowing up some innocents will do crap.

Make arguments that get out the vote and convince people to vote with us and drop this armchair violent fantasy land.

EnochGale, I do agree with you. Armed confrontation--me against a robber or me against a mob--is not something I wish for. In my old neighborhood, if there were going to be riots, I would have been at ground zero. Still, there's enough Gorites in my area to have me concerned. And there's enough weapons and ammo in my home for them to be concerned. Let's hope they understand that.

Threatening someone's rights to make them see how important their rights are... hmmm...

We don't need a full day Dale Carnegie seminar to know that this is a 'no win' situation here.

No offense, but I think your 'argument' would do more to damage the RKBA cause than help it. One of the main themes that stuck with me after reading "How to Win Friends and Influence People" several times, and something that I've found effective in interacting with friends and co-workers is this: You never really win an argument.

You may prove something with facts and charts and mathematical equations - but if the person on the other side of the table doesn't want to agree with you still - what are you going to do? Have you ever had an argument with someone that couldn't just 'see' your point to the extent where you end up screaming in his or her face? Do you truly believe you've gained any ground? Quite the opposite.

You'll do far more the cause if the tactic you use slow and steady, patient and friendly conversation or correspondence on the importance of an armed citizenry. Your intentions are good I’m sure, but please remember: A true warrior chooses pacifism, others are forced to endure it.

However, allow me to say that something kind of disturbs me about your posts, and it is this: How do you plan to actually restrict another person from his or her right to free speech? Shouting them down, calling them idiots? Well I can pretty much point out that historically (and from my own experience), that ain’t gonna work.

So what else? Centrally controlled media? Book burning? Re-education camps? The final solution? I really fear that the enemy of freedom is people that use these means to further their own cause – and I would and will do whatever is necessary to protect those around me from such activity used against them. Black or white. Gay or straight. College educated or illiterate. Democrat or Republican.

Thanks for listening.

We done met the enemy...

and they are us?

To guard our ways lest we become that which we are not - is the top priority and, perhaps, the hardest thing to do for a successful effort.

Big media is not pro-free speech by any reasonably broad interpretation of it. They've bribed congresscritters to deny diversity of the airwaves (low power FM radio), they've conspired with the government to lie to the public (the "success" of patriot missiles in shooting down scuds), and they threaten suit against anyone who considers developing a product that could compete with their domination of the music industry. That said, I think launching a campaign to remove the ability of reporters to do their job is horrendously conter-productive as well as sure to win the disgust of the general public.

OTOH, engaging in pirate radio and other forms of culture jamming is always fun, especially considering that you're _not_ restricting anyone else's speech, just promoting your own. (Don't believe the big media lies about needing "third adjacent channel buffer zones" for radio, they only really need one or two. Anyone who lives in a saturated radio market can tell ya that.)

The greatest lie of any Republic is this: "My vote doesn't count".
The pendulum swings both ways, both lead to a police state, devoid of firearms.

folkbabe,
No argument on the media.
Pirate radio however still suffers the same problems it did in earlier years. Cheap and crude components rely on raw power to compensate for lack of Q. Bad Q=bleedover. Fun if it blocks out a talking head, but not fun when it steps on commercial airline F's. Before you advocate pirate signals do some reading on harmonics.

NEWSFLASH

SC Militia Forces have fired upon Federal forces at Ft. Sumter in Charleston SC. Casualties inside the fort are said to be high! Oh wait...wait... I am confused! Wrong war.
