Democrats are ready to pounce!

With hurricane Rita closing fast the Democrats and others are ready to attack on President Bush. You see Bush is in a no win situation with Rita and the Democrats are sitting back ready to pounce.
Watch and see, I can hear them already. Scenario #1----Everything goes smoothly after the storm, people are taken well care of, ice, water brought in and everything under control. The Democrats/other response will be----well since Bush is from Texas and the region predominently white, of course they did everything they could THIS time.
Scenario #2----they run into many of the same types of problems that happened in NO--the Democrats/others response will be ---see same old inept Bush, doesn't know what he is doing.
Another words Bush is in an absolutely no win situation and the Democrats and others are just waiting to see which direction to attack from. Watch and see it will go down in 1 of the 2 ways---just a heads up so they know we're on to their game ;)

I doubt that many people are tripping to the strategy. One need only read to know that the real difference in Katrina was not Brown, Not Bush, Not Democrat or Republican, Not Poor People, Not Black People....the real difference was Blanco and Nagin.

I agree, however no question the Democrats, Jesse Jackson, Bill Mahr, Farrakhan etc...put the majority of the blame on Bush and him hating blacks blah blah blah.
Mark my early words, they will come after Bush 1 way or the other after Rita. Either he did too well because it's Texas and white or he proves(to them) that he is inept as a leader because they failed again---watch and see!

I'd agree on Maher (who I think is a great comedian even if I don't agree with everything he says) and Fuhrerkhan but unfortunately Jackson has a lot more people listening to his innane ramblings than seems logical.

I think Tommy Lee Jones said it best in "Men in Black": A person is smart; people are stupid.

I don't know. Texas has a HUGE population of Hispanics. If Texas is reasonably prepared, are the libs going to say he only hates black people? By early next week we will know, I guess.

Did you heard that on his way to Texas today President Bush stopped and breached the levees and that because of his dastardly and underhanded move (designed ONLY to kill blacks, you see), New Orleans is flooding AGAIN?

Well, they can still blame him for not putting out a bus fire that took the lives of 24 elderly people. We could demand a Congressional Investigation. Surely it would demonstrate:
A) If all lanes had been closed to Southbound Traffic, there wouldn't have been a traffic jam and Emergency Crews could have gotten to the site from the South.
OR
B) If some lanes had been left open for Southbound Traffic, Emergency Crews could have gotten to the site from the North.

Either way Dubya, the Feds and FEMA blew it again.
Rich

Mike, the evil Dubya didn't do that to kill blacks.
Puppetmaster Cheney told him 'Nawlins needed a rinse cycle. ;)
sorry for the black humor, but doggone it, we can't just keep wailing all the time!

Seriously, folks in Louisiana know where the blame lies. If you know of any displaced cajuns, help them to this site or obtain your own recall petition, take it to the shelter and collect signatures. If Kalifornia can do it, Louisiana can too!

Now we just have to decide between Edwards, Duke, or a box of rocks as a replacement.

I understand Florida recieved some voting booths from Louisiana for the next election. If they are not careful, Huey Long will be their next Governor!

It rained here last night in the Wabash Valley while my sprinkler was on my new trees.

WHERE WAS GEORGE BUSH TO TURN OFF MY SPRINKLERS?

Bush lied, Kirk's water bill climbed.

I was reading an article saying "Bush declared the state of emergency in Texas THIS TIME". It seems that some medias conveniently forgot that he did the same for Louisiana 2 days before Katrina.

Here's a interesting "game". Can everyone name a politician they like that is siting on the other side of the fence?

I'm a conservative, but I think Joe Liberman is a good guy, even though I disagree with some of his positions.

But there are NO good democrats

Are there any good republicans?

Can everyone name a politician they like that is siting on the other side of the fence?

Well, I used to like Zel Miller until he decided to bring his religion into his office. When he ran for governor he managed to keep his bible out of his policy but nowadays I sure wouldn't vote for him again.

Relax guys!

What everyone needs to remember is a hurricaine, and death itself doesn't care what party you favor. We are about to see more destruction on the gulf coast, and this time there may well be evacuees gridlocked on the interstate among the missing.

We all, democrats and republicans, need to take off our partisan boxing gloves and put our hands to work. This is not about getting a leg up politically, it's about survival.

I accidentally slept in this morning and almost missed my first class....

WHERE THE HELL WAS GEORGE BUSH!!!

Bush denied,
Ingram cried.

Honestly, what was Bush supposed to do in NO? He can't send the national guard down there unless the governor asks him to. He'd have to decalre martial law which was found to be unconstitutional after Abraham Lincoln did it in response to the draft riots in New York during the Civil War. Unless Bush is actually sitting out in the ocean stirring up hurricanes I don't really see how he's to blame. It's a natural disaster for goodness sake. Yeah its a tradgedy but nobody really had control. The people there knew it was coming and many refused to leave. How is that anyone's fault but their own?
