Deer Lease, or trick or treat with the kids?

Well? What did you do? Did you dissapoint your family so you could do what YOU wanted to do?

You folks who said he should go hunting instead of spending that time with his family should be ashamed. You either don't have a family or, as I said before, have your priorities in the wrong place. And, this isn't even a major hunting forum!

Exactly! what priorities are in place? If you love your family daily your family should know that dad needs his own time - silly Halloween should not be an issue - let Dad have his time in the woods! I knew a hunter once who kept his guns in the trunk of his car because the "wife"wouldnt let them in the house - and he had to sneak out to hunt. Life's too short and in the end we all die alone:)

One of each -

I went trick or treating with my 3 grandchildren, my daughter, and my wife.

My son-in-law went to the deer lease, with his beer drinking buddy and his dad.

Nothing wrong with a beer drinking buddy, most of mine are. Leaving your kids for a night that is important to THEM is just wrong. You won't get those days back!

Maybe I've been lucky that my hunting spots have only been about an hour away. Trick-or-Treat till 9, kids in bed by 10, at camp and set up by midnight and rolling out at 4 used to work for me.
