Debate: full sized 9mms

what is the point of a full sized 9mm?

The point is that it is hard to find a better pistol than a SIG P210.

The Sig 210 is a masterpiece. That is the only full sized 9mm I would ever want to own. That said, most of us would be killed (by our wives) if we brought home a $2,000 dollar plus pistol...
 
Ummm....

1)9mm not in the same ball park with .45 ACP in 1st shot-stopping power.

2)Don't need to double or triple tap with .45 ACP-one shot does it.

3)9mm is fun to target shoot and practice with,and is cheaper,though.
 
Must disagree with JMBrowning regarding numbers 1 & 2 above. 1st shot-stopping power has alot to do with bullet design and shot placement -- not just caliber. Further, you should always follow-up with a second or third regardless of caliber. This One Shot Stop myth is just a statistical study. Truth is, if the guy is bad enough to shoot once, he's bad enough for two or three.
