Darn That Guy Next to Me at the Range

Well, Sarge, I have a 28 and a 29, want a 10 and a 15 and am eating PBJ's already. So, go ahead and stock up on the Ramen noodles. I feel your pain.

SgtLumpy...Take a few deeeep breaths, sit down in front of the tube and watch some mindless game show, and take a hot shower and go to bed.
It WILL NOT help your craving but at least you'll have a good night sleep. (Insert Smiley Face). Then in the morning you can start all over again scheming on ways to get that Ruger that is looking to go home with you. As one of our former Presidents liked to say "I feel your pain" My own must-have list of pistols keeps on going and going, each one seems better than the last.

Yes, I feel your pain. I have similar pain, due to WheelyFun posting pics of his Gemini Customs Ruger. Guess what I have on order....

(Although, I think one of the local ranges has a some model of Taurus, but I don't think I want to gamble with it).

Why not? The Tauruses (Taurus's? Tauri?) Anyway, the Taurus revolvers I've had the chance to fondle have all been good, solid working guns. No frills, no problems, good accuracy. Really, I've never shot a bad Taurus revolver.

PawPaw, nothing against Tauruses! I am sure vast majority of them are great revolvers. But there are too many stories about "less-then-stellar examples" and especially "less-then-stellar customer service". Even by reading "Revolver Checkout" instruction on the top of the page it kind of suggests to stay away from used Tauruses.

Still I completely understand the price difference and significant savings one can have by buying Taurus vs. S&W or Ruger, especially on the used market. However I only need a few guns for now and if I can afford S&W, I may as well get it just based on their reputation. For my current purposes I only need calibers .357 Magnum and .22 LR for target shooting and I want to get the "best reasonable guns" for it. Once I master them and want more calibers/ barrel sizes/ features, I will definitely pay attention to Taurus again.

His 10mm 1911 is so much louder than my 45.. I need one..

Hi my name is Ryu and I am addicted to buying guns. :p I shot at a range for the first time last November with my beretta I bought a month prior for hd. it has since become my newest (most expensive) hobby and ive bought 3 more handguns, my last purchase in march. 4 guns in 5 months and after just 2 and a half months I am experiencing gun buying withdrawal. Bad. Like I need a new car soon but I can't stop thinking about a new gun bad. first I was thinking a colt saa or 1851 army or navy conversion clone by uberti (ill get the real ones once I get my get rich quick scheme that I haven't come up with yet going:D) but then my lack of any rifle got me wanting an ak and/or (and) an ar. I almost relapsed the other day when I went to look for an ak at my fave lgs but while they had several they were all poly and I want a wooden one that's not the wasr 10 they had. I left with my cash still in pocket but not before this yugo sks with the bayonet and a 30 rd mag for $399 tried to come home with me. When I walked away and I saw someone else pick it up I felt like I needed to protect it. Probably gonna end up buying that too . If I do I can also get the 12 ga mossberg 500 I also need for about the same price as one ak... Think I need an intervention lol

Guy next to me let me shoot his Ruger SA 45 Colt. DARN HIM! Now I want a 45 revolver.
:D . Careful, you just might get addicted ... No more DAs here :) . All Single Actions except for my little Bulldog for CC.
