My K22 and Single Six are very nice, but I wanted a shorter-barreled 22lr revolver for snubby practice and more convenient plinking.
I tried a lot of them. My preference for s six-shot 22lr plinker was the Charter Arms Pathfinder. They have a smallish frame, don't weigh very much, and are relatively inexpensive. Mine has a surprisingly good trigger. I'm 99% sure they have them with longer barrels... maybe adjustable sights, too?
If the expense and larger size are okay, my K-frame (medium-sized frame) S&W is easily the best 22 revolver I've ever shot.
