CZ P07 and P09 people...

^in that case why not go with a fiber optic front and a black rear? Dawson Precision, Cajun Gunworks, and CZ Custom all sell a version for the P-07/P-09.

Good recommendation!

Most night sight brands don't seem to offer anything for these guns. I did see Big Dot is available, which would be great for defense needs. I have those on a different gun.

Any other tritium recommendations? Especially something with a brightly colored front sight? Orange, green, etc

I've owned both, and now only have the P07. It and my 75B SA are my two favorite 9mm's. Nothing wrong with the P09, it's boringly accurate and holds a lot of ammo and is ultimately reliable, but the P07 is just as good and a much more usable size. I traded the P09 and some cash for a Model 28 which I later traded for a Model 57 4" that will stay with me til the end. Even though I ended up with a nice Model 57, I always regretted trading away the P09, until I got the P07.

Sig SRT isn't even that great.

At the risk of being flamed, I will say SIG at large isn't that great as far as my ability to be accurate with them. I've been issued a SIG p220, p227, p45, and a p290. I've had a good bit of range time with a p226. I just don't shoot them as well as a CZ (75 or p07). I dont understand why as the Sig trigger feels slightly better dry-firing than a stock CZ (except the p290, it had a god-awful trigger). I don't know why, it just is. I like sig, I really do. I'm very happy my agency issues Sig pistols instead of a Glock. I do not shoot them as well though. Go figure.

I know the 229 Legion in the case next to the CZ cost more than the P07 and P09 together!!!

That's part of the point in my rant. Given their cost i should be much better with them. By any right I should be able to run circles around most CZs and Berettas with a SIG p226, but I can't. Its not me hating on SIG I promise. I appreciate having a SIG issued as opposed to a Glock. I also realize this is likely an issue specific to ME. I don't actually believe CZ pistols are that much more accurate than SIG (or really any at all). I just know I shoot my P07 much better. From memory, I shot my 75 better before I sold it.

I've had a SIG P-210-6, four P-220s (plus a P220 Match and a P220 Super Match), three P226s, a P226 X-Five Competition, two P239s, and a P228 tuned by Gray Guns. I loved the P210-6, but had to sell it and several collectible guns during a time of financial hardship. The P228 is a marvelous gun, but I shoot several other guns a bit better.

I think that for some folks, SIGs are a marvelous fit, and for others they're not. The same holds for CZs (and I've had a BUNCH of them.)

I'm now down to one SIG, the P228, and I'll evenually sell it. But I've got a CZ-85C, a P-07, a custom AT-84s, and a Sphinx SDP, and I'd prefer any of them to most of the SIGs mentioned above. As nice as the GrayGuns P228 is, I like the Sphinx SDP better...

(I also have two FNS-40s that I shoot better than any other .40 I've owned, including that P226 X-Five Competition.)

It may all boil down to which gun fits you best, and not that any one gun design is innately better than the others.

Does anyone have recommendations for tritium night sights on the P07? Ideally something like the AmeriGlo or Trijicon that have a very brightly colored front sight that stands out clearly from the rear.

Otherwise I've found XS sights which I've used before.

I agree. SIGs work better for me personally and I shoot them better. I have only one CZ, a CZ SP01 basic Shadow. I like it a lot but have not had the urge to buy another CZ though I really like the PCR. My hand and fingers are on the bigger/longer side and that probably has something to do with it.

I try and always encourage people to try out shooting whatever they are considering before purchase.

I’ve always liked the idea of a polymer framed, hammer fired service pistol, and I like the P-07’s I’ve tried out a lot, these are great shooting pistols, very reliable & accurate. I do think my HK P30 9mm and P2000 9mm (both are v3 triggers) probably work a bit better for me, but I’m also a CZ fan and my basic 75B 9mm and my P-01 are both great shooting pistols that I always enjoy practicing with! And the same goes for my Sig P6, M11-A1 and P228 which are all keepers in the collection!
