CZ in negotiations to buy Colt Firearms

CZ makes guns and has had a long history of doing so. They have at least as much history in Europe as Colt does here.

According to the internet, CZ was founded in 1918.
Colt's first production gun was patented in 1836.

TO me that says Colt has a significantly longer history than CZ.

Now the question is, who owns CZ???
is it CZ? or is it some holding company who can if desired, pull CZ's strings??

Thompkins Ltd (?) a British holding company once owned S&W and had them do things that hurt S&W badly enough that they sold S&W at a LOSS.

Cerberus owned Remington and stuck them with a big debt they couldn't pay, and then sold off Remington in bits and pieces (or so it seems to me...)

Is there some big holding company that owns CZ and could they do something like that to Colt if CZ buys it?? I don't know.

Maybe ....maybe someday you can get a new Python for the cost of CZ 75.. if so, would either one be worth it???

I won't pretend to understand high finance big business in these matters, but didn't the people who bought Remington essentially use it to pocket a bunch of money while destroying REM as a going concern??

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: See post #6 here.
