Recently picked up a Marlin XT series in 17 hmr but I always like having iron sights for my rimfire stuff, so I also found a .17 hmr lux barrel kit for my CZ 455 .22 lux.
I noticed they have the .22 mag kits as well and I don't have a .22 mag rifle, for the relatively low price do you think it be worth it to snag the kit just "for fun"? Would the .22 mag be different enough from the .17 hmr to justify getting the kit?
The other option is to eventually get a .22 mag rifle but for the increased price, since I now have "2" 17 hmrs and several .22lrs, I'm not sure it's worth it (I use rimfire stuff for "fun" since I live in the burbs and we can't shoot outside here) but I wasn't sure if there any "decent" .22 mag rifles out there that would be better than getting a barrel kit for the CZ and would be worth the cost.
