CZ 75B Questions

Icoby,

The passive firing pin safety. I suspect too will be gone the detailed hand finishing as CZ speeds up the pace even more to meet demand.

The military models are just like any other CZ. To the best of my knowledge there's no mechanical difference between a CZ75B and a CZ75B Military. The militray pistols I've seen elsewhere don't have painted sights, however. They usually sport the stamp of the purchaser, so the Turkish contract pistols might have a crest of the Rep of Turkey. Anyone own one of these and know for sure?

So many pistols, so little money.

JohnH--

I talked to the gunsmith at CZ-USA today. He said that the picture of the SA model in their catalog and in the American Riflemen article was created on a computer. According to him, the 9mm SA will have the tapered slide, and the .40S&W will have the reinforced slide.

In case your interested, the SA has a new trigger mechanism that is made for sport shooting. He said the trigger would break around 3.5 to 4 pounds. The gun comes in the polymer finish only. J&G lists the gun for $369.

I plan to order one, and was thinking of having the adjustable sights installed. I read in an article that they were cheesy. Do those of you with the 85 Combat like yours?

As far as the adjustable sights, I'd go with the newer beefier one. It looks similiar to a Bomar sight, but it is made by LPA. The current ones look weak. Since my CZ will mostly be used only at the range, I will keep the exisiting one. For carry, I'd go with the newer Bomar-styled sight. Call the CZ gunsmith and ask about the installation of the newer sights. Please post your response. I'm interested as well, but can't get to a phone during the day.
