CZ 527 (7.62x39)... how is it with cheap ammo?

I just bought one, that I'm planning on running PRVI ammo through, then reloading those cases...

BTW... I have a ( purchased price $ 89.00... quite a while ago ;) ) Chinese SKS, that I accururized, that shoots 2" 10 shot groups at 100 yards, with cheap earlier Russian "spam can" ammo... so I have no doubts with the right steel cased ammo, the CZ aught to be shooting nearly as good a groups :)

got it

CIP....understood

REgards x39mm ammo. I have a small quantity of Lapua cases in said caliber, and they are by far the best basis for accuracy in my bolt Ruger. To best of my knoweledge, Lapua still makes them.

Now, if Sierra would just start making the 135 gr Pro Hunter SSP slug again.

Just for fun attached an old Leopold 2x8x32 scope on mine, that had sent back to Leopold to have mil dots installed. Then put bipod on front and easily hit at 400 yards. Don't remember the drop at that range, but had it calculated based on velocity.

The Barnaul hp's kept in stock are very accurate in this particular rifle, and had also stocked up on Lapua brass. Old Speer soft points were more accurate than the Hornady sst's tried.

My USAF buddy hunts deer near Manassas, Virginia every year and topples an amazing number of does with his CZ carbine. He only hunts with Winchester Power Point ammo and reports very good accuracy and performance.

7.62 X 39 is a keeper!

SKS Tuning.

Well there is a way with rough parts.

Fill the whole action full of toothpaste and cycle 1000 times.

Clean and reassemble.

This method is from the world of fishing, but mechanical devices all get rebuilt in the same ways.

Fine Abrasives and lots of hard work.

had my new 527 Carbine in 7.62 X 39 out for scope sighting this weekend... it's wearing a Vortex Diamond Back 4-12 A.O scope...

started on Saturday at 50 yards, finished on Sunday at 100 yards... Sunday had 25-30 mph quartering winds, & finished with a 3 shot group, all shots touching in a horizontal line along the wind direction... ammo I was using was some PRVI FMJ factory loads...

I'm loving the single set trigger & the way this thing handles & shoots... so much so, I may have to sell my CZ American in 223 & buy a new Carbine in 223 with the set trigger... :)

I had my 527M/CSr at the range this morning, was tagging the 9x14" steel target 3 out of 5 at 100 yards, standing, iron sights. It's been a while, need to get back in the swing, as I used to be able to do that almost 100% of the time. :( That was with reloads, of course.;)
