cylinder gap pressure hitting hand?

A couple years back, Todd Brown blew a large part of his thumb off by doing precisely this with his 460. I believe the pictures in thread linked to in post #3 are his.

He sued S&W over it.

Did he win the suit ? It seems to me that people look to place the responsibility for their own actions, reactions and inactions on others, if they can get a lawyer to back them.

I was shooting my Dan Wesson for the first time a while back. I was playing with different grips on it and wrapped the index finger of my supporting hand around the trigger guard. Lead sprayed through the cylinder gap and stuck about 30 little bits of lead into the side of my index finger. I won't be using that grip anymore. :o

Yup, you'll only do it once and then hopefully you know better than to do it again. ;) Just hope your first shot ain't with one of the big bangers.

It appears to have been withdrawn. When the plaintiff was told there was no chance for punitive damages they decided to pull the suit. If refiled, they would be liable for S&W's legal fees if they lose.

AMEN!!! If ALL lawsuits had this done we would be a far better country!!!

LOOSER PAYS is the only way to go!!!
