Custom F.A. Kent bolt gun.

I have one of my late father's custom rifles in .257 Roberts. It's built on what seems to be a Mauser action. The rifle has beautiful wood with an ebony foreend, a monte carlo like cheek piece carved into the stock and a jeweled bolt. It wears an older Weaver V-7, 2-7x variable scope on it. It is truly a tack driver and very comfortable to shoot. My question is, does anybody know anything about F.A. Kent or his work? This rifle was built in the 60's sometime.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I can't tell you anything about FA Kent other than there have been other rifles bearing his name. One was a model 1917, the other a .257. Both showed up on another forum some 6 yrs ago or so. Both were nicely done. If Michael Petrov were still alive you can bet just about anything he would have been able to tell you all about FA Kent. You might look for his two books on custom rifles and see if he mentions them.
