I'm Looking for a 9mm auto with a magazine disconnect, reasonably priced, and it needs to have a mag disconnect for this purpose. The 3913/5906 series of Smith's has gotten very high, do any modern auto's have them besides the LC9?

Thanks,

Michael

The Browning High Power / FN Hi Power has a magazine disconnect.
I recently got an email of some military surplus FN's that were around $400.00.

If it has to be new, then the Browning is not inexpensive.

Sig Sauer SP2022 just bought one and they are great, BUT as noted below no magazine disconnect, guess I figured since its a CA compliant it had one.

Ruger SR9.

Some, I think, of the S&W M&P line can or could be had with a magazine disconnect.

There is a well known online gun dealer in KY that rhymes with Fud's that usually lists which of his handguns have the mag disconnect in the description. I know many of the S&W M&P semi autos have the mag disconnect. If you can find an SVDE with it, they are very reasonable.

as the above stated. the sd9ve has the mag disconnect. will probably be your most affordable option other than the zastava. but, I must say, I really didn't like my sd9ve, not that it had major issue, but crappy accuracy and not 100% reliable.

As others have said, the Ruger SR9s have them. I highly recommend them, and Ruger in general.

With that being said, I don't like magazine disconnects. I think they're unnecessary and maybe even dangerous. If a bad guy grabs your gun, how would you have time to drop the magazine anyways? Not only that, but if you let someone grab your gun from out of your hands, you deserve to die anyways. That's just Darwinism catching up to you. To each their own, but that's my $0.02 on magazine disconnects.

I've got my eye on the Bersa BP9cc. It has a mag disconnect, and the trigger is really nice. I haven't shot one yet, but my local range has a used one for sale, and it almost went home with me after I fondled... er... handled it.
