Credit card companies may discriminate against gun purchases

Friends, I can't actually say that I applied for them, but was offered them during some mail-out they had, I suppose.
Since I was working solely off of my Discover at the time, having chopped up and cancelled 14 other cards, I decided Ruger and NRA cards were the way to go!

I have recently gotten a mail from one of the card companies - I think it was Fleet - that I could pick a different logo for my card!!! NOT BLOODY LIKELY!!!!

Hey paratrooper, I'm afraid I'm leaving soon on vacation and will be filling them both up considerably. I might be able to get one to you just before the Thanksgiving shopping season. ;)

The day any purchase of mine is turned down by the credit card company for any reason other than a computer error, they are history! As mentioned previously, there are so many banks fighting for my business that I can and do cancel for the littlest inconvenience. Damn Discover if they call me one more time at 9:30 PM to see if I want to transfer a balance for 2.9% when I am already paying 1.9%!

Gentlemen and Ladies: The NRA credit card is a Platinum MasterCard issued by Fleet Bank (RI) National Association. I too, applied for and got one from a NRA mailing. It has an American flag with an eagle's head superimposed on the right side and NRA logo on the left. Although the interest rate is high if you carry a balance, a portion of each purchase goes to the NRA.

American Express? Sounds like it's time to "leave home without it".
If they want to play their little games with gun owners, use a different card.
Why pay them to aggravate you?

I use Discover for all gun related purchases and have never had a problem. They also give you a cash rebate based on your purchases at the end of the year.
