Creative car carry concealment

BillCA is right... each state has it's own car carry laws...

just because you have a concealed carry permit that another state will accept... you still have to carry and travel in that state following their laws....

such things as having it concealed on your person or open may very well be different or even where you can conceal the handgun in the car with the permit will change.... also what will change from state to state is having to disclose to a LEO if pulled over that you have a concealed weapon in the car with you.

I am not a big fan of stashing your pistol in your car. You might just forget it and that's the time you'll wish you had it. Or , you leave it and it gets swiped.
Or you get involved in a collision and then need it, and its gotten lost in the interior somewhere.

All of this stuff has happened. I suggest you wear your pistol in a holster on your person. It goes where you go.

I drive a Toyota Corolla that has the neatest little cubby hole below the stereo! It holds a KelTec, Ruger LCP, S&W 36 or S&W 640 perfectly! I have my piece on me at all times except when in the post office, bank or work. That's when the cubby hole comes in handy.

Is it illegal to carry a handgun in a bank in Texas (If there is no 30.06 sign displayed)? I ask because I was unable to find such a prohibition in Texas law - my Google-fu may be weak tonight, however.
