coyote round?

Another vote for 243. While there are other cartridges which will work, IME none work as well as 243. That guy Ron Spomer who wrote the book on coyote hunting advocates the 243 as well.

I have a coyote hunting buddy who really likes the 204 Ruger, and has had good luck with it.

I have hunted them with 308, and I like it too, just not as much as the 243.

I've already posted these pics, but these two yotes dropped in their tracks with a .243. As others have said, if you're thinking about keeping hides its probably a little much. 95 g Hornady SST hand loads are what I run. Mainly as a deer round, but they double duty for yotes very well.

I love mine, low recoil and relatively flat shooting round. You'll like it if you get one.
