coyote bait and lures

I'm still laughing and my wife is absolutely horrified that I'd try that with one of her precious cats.

Um, use a neighbors cat.

Or get a few free ones "to a good home" :)

Feral cats are always to be found, set a live trap and use whatever gets caught.

White Rooster

I had a white rooster named Billy, after the old lady I got him from.

I would take him yote hunting with me.

I put him in a small cage and set him out in the open.

He would crow and crow. I don't think he ever shut up.

Yotes would come running. Sometimes too soon.

I would back off about 100 yards and wait.

I fell asleep once, only to wakt to a yote trying to rip open the cage.

Scared the hell out of Billy.

Billy got ate one night. Some yotes tore open the cage I kept him in at home.

I think it was a conspiracy. The yotes got together and planeed his asassination.

i tried a live turkey one time but the dang thing know what i was doing and wouldnt make any noise at all just laid there and wouldnt move

my sole reason is the bounty with the pelt and skull a side bonus
i keep as much as they let me (if i ever get on)
with the prospect of work in the very near future i have focused me time on more pressing matters. i am building a stock for a k31 and need to finish it before the work pics up cause i will be headed out of town again

I always just call them in, but a friend uses leftover meat stores throw out, foodlion, walmart, ingles, etc, he says he has had good results. but asking for the left over meats at a store might be kind of weird lol

Well, if you can start feeding them & get them to set up a pattern you may produce a couple here and there. There will be a LOT of nights sitting & watching the bait pile. Or get a few game cams to tell from where & at what time they are coming to the pile.
If it were me, I would register at a predator hunting forum to learn all I can & start calling them in to me. You can get some calls from $9 to $15 each. A good decoy will run about $45. Or you can use a feather & thread. Some good camo & some knowledge & you would be stacken up the fur!
I would suggest Bucking the Odds. They have a great forum kind of like TFL here. There are lots of great folks as well with a few pro-staffers that love to get you hooked on thier sport. There are free hunting videos, hunting tips and articles.
If you stop by say hi, I go by the same name over there!
Best of luck with what ever you decide to do.

People bow fish and spear for carp around here, they are an invasive species and they can harvest as much as they want. Generally if I want bait, I just post to a local outdoors form, someone will have a couple hundred pounds of carp they dont know what to do with, and they make excellent bait. I once saw someone drop off 3 level pickup boxes of carp to a farmer to put in his field, unfortunatly I didnt have the time to make a couple stands the following week.

Shame on you,,,

I put my cat in a cage. 10 minutes of meowing & blam-o!
Then the Yotes come!

After I quit laughing,,,
I was thoroughly appalled!

Bart would never forgive me,,,

I could never sleep around him again.

i second 603, here in texas a deer carcass or pig will be nothing but bones scattered in a hundred yard area. Maybe find a slaughter house and see if they will give you the guts from their pigs and cows.
