Could Someone Enlighten Me on my Future CZ 527 FS?

223 is a great versitie and cheap caliber to shoot. I set up a Savage Predator rifle in that caliber and it has worked marvelously. So good that I even took a nice doe with 55gr TSX just to see how well it would do on a broad side shot and it worked like a magic. I am happy just using 223 out of it.

getting back to the original post, I've had 4 CZ's, all were extremely accurate, one of the .22's and the 06 were the Mannlicher stocked version and accuracy was not an issue---the only issue I ever had was the time waiting for the full stocked 30-06 to cool down between strings, but then I always took at least three others for just that reason. Also had a .22 Hornet in the delux version--
Right now, I can't think of any thing out there offering more for the money, still blued steel barrels, high quality walnut stocks, very well made and very accurate Some of their .22's are relatively inexpensive, but the centerfires cost about what you would expect for a quality rifle--they are phasing out the 550 line and it will become the 557--I just bought the new bolt action 557 carbine, 20" barrel in 06 and this one I'll keep---haven't even had the chance to get it out to the range yet but the test target that came with it leaves no doubt this will be another great "shooter"---just installed a 4-12x40 mm Prostaff on it [ $230 ], and down here in the swamps, this will work on pigs and deer---get the CZ and don't look back---John

I forgot to mention, these new 557 models have fiber optic front sights, very easy to use, they really glow--- if I were a little younger and the eyes were also younger, I'd try this carbine without the scope---the irons are outstanding---johnl
