i liked the break down shotgun in 'bullit'. and the break down lever action in 'lonely are the brave'. can anyone identify the lever gun in 'lonley are the brave'? i know the shotgun in 'bullit' was a win 97.

Forget that, the COOLEST movie gun by far was the Pulse rifle in Aliens!

I thought I'd seen it all, until a 22WMR spun a bunny 2 1/4 times in the air!

Have to go with the Doc on this one.

Those M41A's were the nicest looking Thompson SMG conversions I have ever seen.

Great stuff man. The steady-cam mounted guns that Vasquez and Drake used were pretty neat also.. I also like "The Body's" minigun from Predator.. Oh, and lest we forget Tony Montana's (Scarface) M16 with M203..
quote:
You can kill an army with that bad bitch. (Tony) I take care of my people.[/quote]

I love those DVD's!!

One episode of "First Wave" on the SciFi Channel showed the tall black alien "Joshua" using something that looked like a MechTech CCU. Anyone recognize what it was? It has 16 - 20 inches of barrel out in front. No muzzle attachments of any kind. It was used on full auto for short bursts.

I am an old man, but I love Aliens vs Predator. You can pick it up cheap now. The pulse rifle and grenade launcher is wonderful.
Nothing like a smart-gun when you need it. I very much enjoyed playing the predator also. Never quite mastered the bug. Just don't like em :).

What about the mini-gun in "T2-judgement day"
And the gun store collection in "The quick and the dead"

You can have the collection form "Quick & Dead" I'll take Sharon........ ;)

Doc Holliday's Meteor Street Howitzer (that was really it's name!) in 'Tombstone'. Han Solo's nuclear powered scope-sighted Broomhandle Mauser. RoboCop's super-bichen' full-rock-'n'-roll whatever-it-was.

10mm: It's not the size of the Dawg in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog!

My vote for cool movie guns has to go to the following:

--Starship Troopers: Those spiffy over-under assault rifle, shotgun-grendade launcher personal weapon systems.

--Aliens: Those GPMG-type systems that Drake and Vasquez used.

--Face-Off: The match paired Gold-Plated 45s used by Nicolas Cage.

--Romeo & Juliet: Leo DiCaprio's Para-12.

--The Mummy: That nifty little roll-up arsneal bag with assorted contents makes a nice period-specific consolation prize.

You know that cruddy airline food everyone complains about? I'm the schmuck that oversees the folks making it so don't p---me off!

The ultimate movie gun was the one in "The Fifth Element". I loved it when the bad guy was going over the specs on this gun. Put the first shot where you want it and press a button, all the rest will go to the same spot, no matter where you point the gun. Built in flame thrower, ice cube maker, poison darts, rocket laucher.... etc.

The debate is not about guns,
but rather who has the ultimate power to rule,
the People or Government.
RKBA!

The machine gun in the Wild Bunch. James Coburn's PPSH 41 in Cross of Iron. Dirty Harry's .44 Auto Mag. Most of the Matrix.

Aliens.
Hands Down.
The M41A Pulse Rifle is STILL the ONE GUN I am seeking.
I have contacted many a party trying to find a parts kit to convert a Thompson into an M41A... Sans working shotgun of course.

If anyone knows - let me know. There is a Reward... :D

George,

the M-41A is available as a resin model, do a search on eBay and you'll find a few of them. They were made by SHED Models in England, as well as ICONS in the US. Current price for the "stunt" resin kit with functional LED counter is in the $600 range, there's a cheaper one without the counter available. FWIW, here's what I know about the mentioned guns:

M-41A:
Thompson M1A1 mounted in a resin shell, with a Franchi SPAS-12 trimmed down and mounted under the Thompson as the "grenade launcher".

"Smart gun" (Vasquez and Drake):
German Rheinmetall MG42/MG3 7.62mm machine gun mounted in a "steadicam" stabilizer rig. They used the 50-round belt drums for the MG, and in one scene you can clearly see the non-fragmenting empty belt sticking out of Drake's gun as he blasts away.

Tamara,

Robocop's sidearm:
Beretta 93R with a huge front end which doubled the pistol's length. It had a long, ventilated barrel and a massive square barrel weight. In the scenes where Robocop fires the gun, you can clearly see the Beretta slide go back, while the rest of the arrangement stays in place. He also uses the gun exclusively in its three-round burst mode.

Tell me something I dont know.
I dont want the rubber ducky...
I want the real McCoy!
I want to take my (will get as soon as a kit is available) Thompson and using the parts kit - build my M41A.
I want to be able to take it to the range and FIRE it. .45 is a fine caliber...

George,

the movie guns were essentially the same kit as far as the resin parts go. Just get one in kit form, and substitute the real Thompson for the resin pieces. If you don't want to cripple an existing SPAS-12, you can use the dummy parts in the kit, but at least you'd get the rifle part working. All you'd have to do is to spray-paint the kit and then fit the cosmetic parts to your Thompson.

I have to agree that Tony Montana's leetle fren' was one of the coolest guns I've ever seen. Ahnold's railgun was another "oh-my-god-I-MUST-get-one-of-those!"

But, the M41A takes it. Nothing else even comes close.

the bars and lewis guns in 'the sand pebbles'. aside from 03a3s, makes one wonder how better armed we really are.

Aliens - M41A kicked butt. How do they get the cool sound effects from a tommy?...:P

The Fifth Element - Zorg's special was pretty cool. Kinda Batmanish (if ya know what I mean) but cool nontheless.
