Converting 870 for defense/combat shooting

The Wilson extension won’t stick out past an 18 inch barrel. There are pictures of two of my Remington 870s posted on a different thread. Both of them have two shot extensions with 18 inch barrels, take a look. I also have a Wilson 1-shot extension with a 14 inch barrel, but there isn’t a picture of that one. It doesn’t stick out either. Hope this helps.
My factory extension sticks out 1/4 inch, just enough to get a little powder residue on it after firing.
I didn't know TACSTAR extensions were bad. I've had good service from their weapons light. But I did know the Wilson and Choate were good. As a matter of fact, everything I've purchased from those two companies has been good quality.
