Convert Ruger MKIII to 6.5 Creedmore

To give the devil his due, he could create a fully strengthened and complete receiver and use the action of that pistol as a simple fire control mechanism. Mount that action so that the only interaction with the upper is to control a built in sear.

Which was basically what the Pachmyer Dominator was but a frame from the 1911. The Dominator did not feed from a mag but was a single shot pistol. The Dominator has been chambered in 6.5 as I linked to earlier.

A fella could do the same with basically a frame from any semi-auto. Why is another question. There are in existence a few single shot pistols that can take the 6.5 that will likely work better and function for longer. There are also AR pistols. Of course the Encore and the XP-100 exist.

So why a fella would want to take a 22 l.r. caliber Mk III pistol and build a contraption on top of that, is a question. But folks do what they like and I wish anyone walking down that road a safe and happy trip.

So skywag, did you really mean to say Ruger MKII and posted in the wrong forum (Handgun vs Rifle)-or are you really serious about building a hand grenade?
