49 (genuinely -- the big 50 is looming in a few months), and have been carrying legally for about sixteen months. Didn't own my own gun much before that, so I've been quite law abiding.
I got my 1st concealed carry permit from the Sheriff's dept about 11 years ago. I moved to the southeast about 10 years ago and got a new concealed carry license in 2002. I had it until 2007 but did not renew it. I've put it off but will get around to it soon, maybe early 2011 or 2012. I carry firearms in cases for vehicle protection/travel and work armed security(which by state law does not require a concealed carry license or special permit).
It's not a long or complex process now due to improvements in the Div of Licensing system. The CC licenses last 7 years now too, .
Doesnt matter how old any of us are. We all LOVE firearms. Thats the bigger picture. Shooting is more than just a sport its a way of life. (Well at least to me it is). We must pass knowledge to everyone available until the anti gunners are all shooting . I guarentee anyone who said they didnt like guns and then fired a Thompson would change their mind quickly. At least for a couple seconds.
I live in Free AZ, we don't need a permit/license to carry concealed anymore, so anyone over 21 that is a US citizen and not a prohibited possessor is AOK.
