Concealed Carry--What gun to carry?

*FBI standards for penetration suggests 12 inches in gelatin preferred. Means you can penetrate to the vital organs and hopefully stop the threat!!

Obviously no standards are set for any civilian concealed carry.Will your ammo work? Don't care about penetration and you might not stop a threat!
Obviously do whatever trips your trigger. It's your life!

*Decent 25 yard accuracy doesn't mean you will shoot at 25 yards! Nothing was said about SHOOTING at 25 yards, guys. It means the gun/load are reasonably accurate.

*If you don't care about accuracy you may find yourself sitting in front of a jury explaining how you accidentally shot an innocent bustander.

I sujjest you go and do some study people been shooting people for a long time with out the FBI 's help. Every day a BG get shot in this country with every thing from a 25 auto to a 44 mag. Know what most of time it works the BG stops being a threat .
25 yds have nothing to do with SD accuracy since most of that with in 10 yds .
I am verry accurate out to 15 yds I can care less about 25 yds.
Once again read and find most people only shoot a couple rounds and that seems to get job done. Its the mass fire by police and FBI that misses the most .Not JQ Public. When was last time you read about a civ CC holder in court for shooting a innocent buystander.and where was it . Link to the story please.

Tell me how do you conceal you Glock you do have a permit and a glock right. I can carry a 1911 under a t shirt IWB can you do that with you glock. How accurate is your glock at 25 yds I started packing over 30 yrs ago . How long have you been Concealed means that its covered not hid.
 
It might be all about dressing around your gun but when I see a guy at the gas station wearing a vest in August in Virginia, I start wondering. But, anyhow, I think weight is more of an issue than size. A loaded 1911 gets heavy. And one more thing. Go outside with a tape measure and see how far 25 yards is. Inside it's a long ways. Outside it doesn't seem to be so far away. For that matter, measure off 100 yards from your front door and see where that takes you, just for fun.
 
Im in Ga/Sc, right on the boarder. To give you a idea of my outside temp range, Lots and lots of tshirts and shorts. I carry a glock 27 in a crossbreed. The Crossbreed is the best holster Ive ever used. Its very comfy:D
 
When I first started carrying, 9 out of 10 times it was a SIG P220. A few years have gone by and a S&W M36 is on my hip 9/10 times;) I still carry a .357 Ruger while I hike or canoe...but around town the J frame meets my current needs.
