Concealed Carry (non-conventional ways)

I have been asking around, and cannot seem to come up with any answers on how i can carry my main concealed, and my BUG in non-conventional ways. (I don't want the criminals to know I have the guns, and I don't like feeling uncomfortable.)

Welcome to the internet!! I pocket carry. Seems really obvious, so I'm going to assume you've tried it and couldn't find the perfect pocket holster.

So, IWB,then. There's the Galco tuckable Deep Cover (you might notice I like Kahr 9mm).

and the High Noon Alter Ego; also tuckable.

and the Comp Tac Minotaur...most tuckable of all

Unconventional BUG? Well, here's what I came up with. NAA .22 mag Black Widow, with PUG slip on grips

Cheap eBay left hand holster ($10) and a camera bag strap.

Worn outside pants here for demo...wear it under the pants!!!

I have a bible I'm going to hollow out for my XD9SC. A bible is the one book I can carry daily and no one will give it a second look.

What are you wanting to call 'non-conventional'? The problem with a simple answer is...if it's simple and works well, it becomes 'conventional'. So pocket holsters, 'deep carry' methods like SmartCarry and Thunderwear, belly bands, grip clips, etc., become conventional.

Perhaps if you clarify your request, and mention the types of firearms you're trying to conceal, you might get better responses. If your main is a 6" .44 magnum and backup is a full-size 1911, it's a much different answer than an LCP with a NAA mini backup.

I think i kinda understand the question.
At some time once i buy a .380 i may try the necklace they make for the P3AT and LCP.
I dont have many options for a backup either.
My jeans are way too tight for pocket carry, and i don't like anything around my ankles. My waistband is full as it is with my Main/knife/mag/cell phone.
Man purses and fanny packs aren't too manly imo.

But i do want a BUG,i just haven't figured out how to carry one yet.Im still having issues finding room for an extra mag on my belt.I find a good knife more important than a spare mag,but thats still under consideration.
I may do a Jacket pocket with a holster.

Belly wrap carry is an idea, but i already wear a wife beater under my t shirts so my main doesn't sit against my skin.Adding a wrap under all that will be too hot.
Smart carry that hangs in the privates area doesn't appeal to me with tight jeans.

How about this reply from Wildalaska (from a post of handguns past):

I think that this truly qualifies as per your requirements!

Open top leather briefcase, the manpurse which is actually a smallish camera bag, a day planner, fanny pack, opaque shopping bag, an unfastened umbrella, a diaper bag, a gym bag, .................

The combination of those two statements left me rolling.

I know someone who carries an LCP in what looks like a day planner. Has a blackberry but no one seems to notice.

I would like an explanation for "unfastened umbrella"

As for the tight pants, most IWB carriers wear 1 size larger to allow for their gun.
Somebody used to make a concealled carry wallet for small pistols like the NAAs.
I believe belt buckle guns are still available.

I pocket carry and also ankle holster my Ruger LCP. The ankle holster is daily carry most of the time. I have no problem getting to it quickly. If ever robbed I plan to say I keep my money in my socks. My first preventative measure is to try to avoid situations where I'm going to get robbed though.

This is a post for a separate topic, but I'm not sure I'm gonna draw a gun on someone if all he wants is the cash out of my wallet (which he will find to be enough for approximately one Happy Meal at McDonalds) and some cards that I can disable pretty quickly. I dunno, maybe I'll feel differently if/when the time comes, and maybe I'm just too poor to have any amount of money worth protecting, but I envision myself only drawing a gun on someone if it's a life or death situation.

What you don't know is how quickly a simple robbery can turn sour. Someone who's hopped up may shoot or cut you simply because you're too slow handing the money over, or just because he doesn't like your looks, or because the voices in his head tell him to. A SC sheriff stated that, "If someone breaks into your home, you may assume they're there to harm you, not just to rob you - and you may act accordingly." All you need is the "I was in imminent fear of my life." statement. It's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

A big +1 for the Galco tuckable Deep Cover! My BIL has one for a Glock 27. He let me borrow it for a night and I'm convinced. Next purchase: a Glock 30 and a Galco Tuckable Deep Cover.:D

I'd say you better be good at reading a person and knowing their intentions gambling like that. That's like assuming that robberies never turn into murder. A big part of staying safe in the first place is by not placing yourself in situations where bad things can happen. Also not hanging around dirtbags for friends or aquaintances. How many victims out there would have fought back if only they knew what the outcome was going to be.

I agree, Thunderwear or Smart Carry. You can carry in shorts, wearing no shirt at all, and the gun is still easily accessed one handed.
