I collect milsurp rifles, and am currently looking for a k98 with as many original markings as possible. I consider these to be an important piece of history, not a bastion of evil that was imparted to the inanimate object.

I voted no, but after thinking about it I may add. It really depends on how recent their negative history is. And then, what were the negative aspects of that history.

I am not superstitious or religious, but I do not want to own anything with a swastika on it.
I just dont like what they represent.
And companies that supported the nazi party, should have died with it. IMO

If I made a gun, I would put the peace sign on it.
Someone needs to photoshop that.

Your initial post really didn't mention swastikas, or guns made during the war, etc. It simply asked if because of the history of Walther, would you buy their guns.

My Walther doesn't have a swastika on it. It does have a "Made in West Germany" stamped on it. My 1974 Porsche had the same. It didn't bother me that Ferdinand Porsche designed the WV for Hitler either.

I was just wondering how many people would refuse to buy a product because of its history or what it may symbolize.
Thanks for the input.
