"Compact" 45 with three finger grip?

I have extremely large hands. If it isn't a big handgun with big grips, I have to curl my pinky underneath. With practice it's not hard to shoot that way. You just have to get used to it. I probably shoot half of my handguns that way and barely even notice it anymore.

No real point in buying a short grip compact for its concealability, then using mags that have a pinkie extension. If you're going to use the short magazine for carry and carry the pinkie extension with an extra round or two, it makes sense. But practice with the short mag is mandatory to get the hits you'll need in a SD encounter.

Check out the grip length vs. the barrel length as they affect concealability. Bet you find that it's the grip length that makes the 'print' we all try to avoid.

That is surely true. I don't carry concealed very often, but I have carried both my Beretta mini-Cougar 9mm and .40 S&W that way, with the flush fit mag loaded and the full-length mag carried as a spare. With a round chambered that gives me a total of 26rds with the 9mm and 20rds with the .40 cal. And every time a take them to the range, I practice with both the flush-fit and full-length magazines.

The S&W M&P .45c is almost the exact same size as a G19. It also gives you the choice of thumb safety or no thumb safety.

Not exactly "compact", but almost as easy to conceal as my 9mm's (.45 Sig P320 Compact & S&W M&P 45 Midsize):
