Comfy carry!

I have heard the old saying..."Carrying isnt comfortable, but is comforting". I say...welcome to the 20th century!
With todays light and smaller guns, being used with current holster technology....You can have you cake and eat it too.
(Who the hell would want cake if they couldnt eat it!)

I am curious about what gun/holster/carry style-location you find the most comfortable!

And no whining! I am 5'10" and 160 lbs. I carry a cz 75 compact usually...steel gun. Weighs over 2 lbs with ammo, not including the second mag in my pocket. I wear a quality IWB leather holster @ 3.30 - 4.00 Oclock, right behind my hip. I have worn it religously for as long as I have had my permit. It is comfortable all day for me. At this holster location, I can sit, stand and drive.
Without any need to adjust my location for my daily routine.
I do have a good gun belt...helps.......SSSSSSSSOOOOOOO much.

Ok....do tell.

Shoot well

My most comfortable is definately my P32 in Bianchi belly band holster. Comfy maybe isn't the word, I simply forget I'm carrying.

The most comfortable real gun carry method is any of my belt-slide holsters for my Glock 19 or Kahr K9 under coat or jacket.

For the last 7 years I have carried one of my 1911s or a Firestar M45 in a Kramer Belt Scabbard, just to the rear of the side seam of my pants, on an 1 3/4" Galco belt. That's as "comfortable" as it gets for me. Enough so that I rarely feel the presence of the gun except when seated in the truck. When in that position, the pressure of the grip against my kidney is "comforting".

Comfort and convenience-wise, my favorite carry is my S&W Titanium 342ti in a Galco ankle holster. I sometimes also carry my S&W model 60, Walther PPK, or Kel-Tec P11 in an ankle holster. After that, I prefer a larger gun (Glock 23, Walther P99, HK USPc, etc.) in an inside the waistband holster worn in the small of my back, or a strong side holster worn at 3 or 4 oclock.

My most confortable carry combination.............

is my S & W 442 with a Barami hip grip. It is comfortable and secure with anything. Shorts, sweats, trousers, jeans -- anything.

My Kel-tec P-11 with the belt clip is about as comfortable as I've found. My old P-32 with the belt clip was more comfortable, but not very comforting.

I carry my Kimber Compact in Milt Sparks Summer Special. Can't wait for my Xmas present from my bro, its a Fobus. I'm gonna start using that too.

Kahr P9 in a Black Hills Leather Bikini Belt slide holster on a double thickness 1 1/4 inch gun belt. Only 1 - 1 1/2 inches of muzzle shows below the belt, so it is very easy to conceal.

Can't stand IWB carry because all of my pants are pretty much pre-carry-permit and fit me well without a gun inside. An IWB is very uncomfortable to me without slightly oversized pants.

Systema Colt .45 worn at 3 o'clock in a FIST universal Kydex holster. The FIST holster changes to IWB/OWB with a couple of screws.Held up with my Wilderness Instructor belt, it makes for a comfortable all day carry.

I'd have to agree with bikeguy, a Kahr P9 has to be the most comfortable pistol to carry concealed. For me, even carrying it IWB is comfy. So much so, that it has allowed me to start wearing some of my clothes that with other pistols would be too tight to wear or printed too much.

I carry my Glock 26 in a Comp-tac "undercover" IWB holster, 24/7. If I am in casual attire, with shirt untucked, it goes in the front, to the right of my top jean button. When I am in my suit, it goes right in the small of my back, on the right side for easy access. Never found an easier rig to conceal than this!

I carry my Steyr M40 in an Action Direct Defender belly band, and it's quite comfortable (for a size reference, my Steyr is almost the exact same size as a Glock 23).

I would be happier with a smaller gun, only because the Steyr is thick enough that it prints easiliy if I'm wearing a light shirt.

Someday there will be a Kahr MK40 in its place, but until then I'm happy with my M40 :)

I like the Smith 3953 with a Bianchi Nylon Holster that is no longer made to the best of my knowledge. Thin, smooth, safe, reliable, adequate. Killer Novak low mounts too!

5'8" 165#.
Kimber Steel Compact in an Alessi Watch Six, @ 4:30.
It's plenty comfortable.
I'm not sure what the big deal is. I suppose it's a combo of your body type and the weapon/carry you're using, but this was my first attempt at CC, and it's not a big deal.

I wouldn't wear it sitting for hours and hours, but that ain't my life. If it was, I'd probably do a snubby/ankle rig.

Browning Hi-Power 40 behind the right hip in a Galco IWB, when wearing just an oversized tee shirt, or a Galco Combat Master when wearing a jacket.

:( *sigh* I'm still waiting for Ohio to support its citizens and PASS the CCW bill that our govenor doesn't support. Maybe ONE day I'll have the opportunity to determine which holster is comfy all day... ...oops, I'm whining! sorry!
