I too am sick of the media's excess with the story. However, it may be backfiring on the liberal agenda. The 4/21 Washington Times reports a Pew Research Center poll in which 2/3 of Americans now believe it is more important to enforce existing gun laws than enact new laws with more controls. The same article reports an Associated Press poll also showing stronger support for stricter enforcement (42%) vs. tougher new laws (33%). Interestingly, the article also said that juvenile shootings, despite the high profile of recent years, "have been declining". [No source was cited in the article for that fact.]
