Colt's new "retro" 1911's

Springfield Armory's been making Series 70 guns for a little over half the price of the "new" Colt for several years now.Just as good a gun as Colt's.

Para Ord's just another over-rated gun.Good shooter,yes.800 bucks,no.If I need more than 2 or 3 rounds of .45 ACP to get the job done,I'm 1) a terrible shot, or 2) dead.

Ditto what Coronach said. If you want vintage without bleeding dollars, get a Sistema. Great value.

the gun is really only 300.00 the colt name adds 580.00

The Sistemas are an excellent value, IF you get a good one. More than a few of them have worn pin through-holes and a lot of small parts in need of replacement. For those who are able to get one that wasn't used very much though, they're the best $300 you can spend on a firearm.
