SAA Cattleman 5.1/2" - Western Saloon

What a dandy little weapon. Just the ticket for someone who doesn't need much down range bullet distance to deal with stripped gofers and other vermin in their own back yard. What a neat little revolver. Thanks for the Great posting. Appreciate it.

P. Script: Curious. A question please: How hard is it to find ammo for this little revolver? and who makes it? Thanks again,

Weird, I've never even heard of such a thing.

If this is a Colt SAA thread, I have exactly one; a 1st gen .45, 26,000 range, made in October of 1876.

If Uberti's, Rugers, Freedom Arms, and other single actions count, put me down for 83 more. :)

The front sight is fashioned from a segment of a Liberty half dollar; there is no makers mark evident on the holster.

The revolver was found under the mattress of a dead drifter in a hotel room in the Elk Park area near Butte, Montana around 1931.

Black Powder: Way to go Sir. Thanks for the demo on Utube. I enjoyed that film clip. Kind of slick how that adapter worked in the Walthers and the actual size of those little 4mm cartridges is remarkable. When you decide to pop one of those little shells off in that 6 gun of yours. Please do post the experience. I for one am indeed interested in its results. By the way that threesome brace of pistols are by my standards very nice indeed. A pleasure to observe such nice weapons and their holsters on this end. Thanks again for the photo and UTube link.

I am sorry for grammar, I write over PC Translator.
No need to worry Sir. You did an excellent job here on TFLF. :)

Thanks...

Spent am for packet cartridge. It is not cheap prank 100pcs. in 26 Euro.
Cartridge are they from copper and some firing pin non firing, but only thrust in more deeply in the breech. From 100pcs. fired 60pcs.. Produce am new longer firing pin and fired every piece.

Cartridge be developed in the year 1921 in the Germany pro miniature shooting indoor on short distance.
Cartridge was he used and for training purposes Deutsch army between by both wars. In right now oneself always makes.
As acute version be merely on firearms certificate, this revolver I have got to earlier in collections how rarity, because is for free from 18 years old.
Want buy SAA original by the year production 1890, the is in our place too for free.

Jbar, what you have is what I like collecting most. The front sight gives it character and where it came from certainly adds to the interesting history regarding where it's been. Even the bandana is nice. I try to grab a hold of anything that relates to my guns like gunbelts, spurs, etc.. New guns lack much when compared to the old. Nice go'in!

My first handgun. Purchased in 1978, brand new.
From the serial number, it appears to have been made a couple of months before I bought it. :)

I used it for several years in SASS matches too.
